Long serving School Board member Gene Longino is retiring. His term ends on December 31st. He was the longest serving member of the board.
Longino attended the December School Board meeting as the outgoing representative of d
District 1. He was flanked by his wife Evelyn and family members as he was presented a plaque in recognition of his service to the children of Red River Parish.
At the January meeting of the board the new Representative of District 1 will be sworn in. She is Malinda Hardy. She defeated Jeffrey Deen for the position last fall.
