When she stepped off the plane this weekend, the National President of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Jean Hamil, was welcomed by State and area VFW Auxiliary leaders. Members of the Coushatta Auxiliary 7287 joined the welcome and dinner party given in Hamil’s honor.
On Sunday, the group placed a wreath at a memorial located on Clyde Fant Parkway in Shreveport. Then they dined at a famous Cajun restaurant. Then Monday they toured Warrior Horse at Frierson, saw some area sites, and attended a banquet in Hamil’s honor.
The Louisiana VFW Auxiliary President is Ramel Fields, and the Northwest Louisiana District President is Dawn Brewer. Also in attendance was David Fields, the state VFW Chaplin. All three are members of Coushatta Auxiliary and Post 7287.
