The old gymnasium on the High School-Junior High campus was demolished this week. Heavy equipment was brought in, and the structure was turned into a large pile of rubble in less than a day.
That old gym has been replaced by a bright, shiny new gym located just south of the Junior High School. It is one of several new structures nearing completion as part of a major expansion of the campus on East Carroll Street.
The new gym will serve the Junior High. It will also be the home court for the High School Volleyball program.
