Red River became a winter wonderland Sunday and Monday. The first snowfall of the season dumped 3” to 4” on the parish turning everything a fluffy white.
School children celebrated with two days off from school. Public and private schools were closed due to potentially dangerous traveling conditions. There was plenty of time for building a snowman and playing in the snow.
