Funeral services for Susie Barbara Bates, 83, of Martin, LA will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Martin Baptist Church with Bro. Richard Kaufman officiating. Interment will follow in Martin Cemetery. Funeral services under the direction of Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home, Coushatta, LA.

Mrs. Bates was born June 22, 1937 in Martin, LA and passed away August 12, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her parents, H.F. and Azile Green; one brother, Tracy Green; two sisters, Bonnie Wood and Erma Croff; two great-nephews, Charlie Thomas and Cameran Wilhite.

Mrs. Bates is survived by one son, Jeff Bates and wife, Jackie of Haughton, LA; two daughters, Kim Bates of Hall Summit, LA and Patricia Bamburg and husband, Tim of Martin, LA; three brothers, Don Green of Arcadia, LA, Reggie Green and wife, Robin of Martin, LA, and Ronnie Green and wife, Nancy of Alexandria, LA; one sister, Patsy Wilhite of Hall Summit, LA; eight grandchildren, Jenna Hickman, Tiffany and Logan Bates, Jessica and Justin Bates, Chris, Josh and Matthew Bamburg; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Tim Bamburg, Chris Bamburg, Matthew Bamburg, Brandon Green, Ron Green, and John Lindsey.
