Local Tornado Relief Efforts

Many people in our parish are trying to help the victims of the tornado that swept across Texas and Louisiana.  Hardest hit was the town of Ruston.

On Sunday, the Adult Sunday School Class of First United Methodist Church decided they wanted to help.  They took up a collection in the class and at church services to buy bottled water.  On Monday they delivered a truck-load of bottled water to the relief effort.  Class member Archie Worsham and his son David drove the water over Monday morning.  They delivered the water to the Civic Center in Ruston.

As the relief effort continues, let The Journal know what you or your group is doing. Send information to RedRiverParishJournal@gmail.comand it will be included in an upcoming issue.
