Last week students at Riverdale Academy were presented their certificates for being selected Students of the Month. Those selected for February are second grader Carter Breedlove, eighth grader Molly Seales and senior Bailey Legrande. Bethany Seales of Riverdale Academy sent The Journal the reasons the students were nominated:
Elementary – Carter Breedlove – 2nd Grade – Carter is the son of Adam and Jennifer Breedlove. He is on the “A” honor roll and loves to play basketball. He was a water boy for the Riverdale Rebels football team. His teacher said that he is always kind to others.
Middle School – Molly Seales – 8th Grade – Molly is the daughter of James and Bethany Seales. She maintains straight A’s and is very involved in volunteering in her community. She is a member of 4H at Riverdale, where she serves her club as reporter. She also recently joined the Riverdale Track Team. Her teachers said that she is very respectful and punctual, and she is always willing to help others.
High School – Bailey Legrande – 12th Grade – Bailey is the daughter or Clay and Michelle Legrande. She is a cheerleader for the Rebels and is a member of the Riverdale Track Team. She maintains an “A” average and has taken several dual enrollment classes for college credit. She is a member of Beta Club and FCA, where she serves as president. Bailey’s teacher said that she is a dedicated student who shows great effort. We know she has a bright future ahead.
Each month the Coushatta VFW Post and Auxiliary present the outstanding Students of the Month in elementary, middle and high school with a certificate and gift card to Dairy Queen.
