COUSHATTA – The Red River girls basketball team is rightfully represented on the All-District 3-2A team released Friday.

Kaleah Crawford was named the district’s Most Valuable Player while coach Kim Pottain took home Coach of the Year honors after the Lady Bulldogs won the district title with a 7-1 record.

Aniyah Jones and Morgan Housley received second-team distinction while Adrinna Jackson was honorably mentioned.

Nevaeh Smith and Ahmauriyeh Demease made the all-defensive team.

Crawford, the No. 6 recruit in the state for the Class of 2027, was a walking double-double this season, including a 30-point performance in Red River’s third win against Mansfield.

Pottain guided Red River to their first playoff win since 2021 as the Lady Bulldogs reached the quarterfinals before falling to Oak Grove.

Jackson is the only senior on this team, meaning that Red River will be loaded as the district favorites in 2026-27 and should draw attention as a team with potential to win a state title.

Red River finished the season at 20-13, the first 20-win season since the Lady Bulldogs won 29 games in 2020 en route to a Class 2A championship game appearance.
