The cold weather came to Red River Parish this week. Check out the photos. The sign at First Baptist Church said it was 13 degrees about 6:00 am Tuesday. A little warmer down the street at the Bank of Coushatta where their sign said 17 degrees.
There are reports of some broken pipes and other ill effects of the cold weather. Hope you were able to insulate prior to the cold snap.
The parish Office of Homeland Security and the Sheriff’s Office have been posting the latest weather advisories on their Facebook pages. A check Tuesday morning indicates that local temperatures should get above freezing by noon Wednesday. Overnight lows will remain well below freezing into the weekend. Daytime highs should warm considerably by Friday and Saturday.
