The Women’s Resource Center (WRC) is teaming up with Louie’s Pizza to serve up warm slices and warm welcomes at Northwestern State University’s First Night Fest on Saturday, Aug. 16 from 7–9 PM at Iberville Green. All NSU students are invited to stop by for a free slice of pizza and learn how WRC is making a difference in the lives of women and families in our community.
This fun and faith-forward outreach event, titled “Slice to Meet Ya!,” is part of NSU’s Move-In Day festivities. The WRC will be on-site sharing information about volunteer opportunities, internships, and ways students can get involved in supporting women facing unplanned pregnancies.
Support Needed — Give a Slice of Thanks!
To make this event possible, the Women’s Resource Center is inviting local individuals, churches, and businesses to donate toward the cost of the pizza and outreach materials. NSU students serve as vital volunteers and future community leaders through their involvement with WRC—hosting baby item drives, participating in internships, and spreading awareness of our mission.
“We’re excited to welcome students back to campus and give them a taste—literally—of how they can make a difference,” says Nicole Woods, Executive Director of WRC. “We also welcome the support of donors who want to invest in this new generation of volunteers and advocates.”
To donate, visit wrcnatchitoches.org or mail/drop off a donation to: Women’s Resource Center , located at 107 North St. in Natchitoches, LA 71457.
All donations are tax-deductible and will directly support the cost of this awareness and outreach event.
