Red River Parish School Superintendent Alison Hughes recognized Roshawnda Taylor at Monday’s school board meeting. Taylor has undergone an “upgrade” in here service to our schools.
Hughes explained, “I am glad to honor a lady working for us over 18 years. Roshawnda Taylor was hired in 1999 as a paraprofessional. She had run the computer labs.”
The upgrading took place last year, Hughes explained. “We partnered with Northwestern State University to offer advanced training to our personnel. She is the first official member of the program.” Hughes added, “This year she is a business education teacher. We are very proud of you and the advancement you have made.”
Taylor responded, “I am overwhelmed and proud to work for Red River schools. I am hoping for my students to have a good attitude and strive to do their best.”
Hughes responded that Taylor is the first of many members of the school system to benefit from the partnership with NSU.
