Book Sale

RRPJ-Book Sale-17May24a
The annual book sale was held at the Red River Parish Library last week. Librarian Trey Lewis told the Journal the books had been collected all year from donations of library patrons.

As they prepared, there were tables full of books lined up in the library meeting room. Bargains were everywhere. Lewis posted on the library Facebook page to “bring a bag or box and come get the bargains.” Hardback books were 25-cents and paperbacks just a dime.

Lewis says the books were going out the door by the box full beginning on Thursday morning. The sale lasted through Saturday. Lewis said, “The sale was a big success.”
