More on the movement of mining equipment across I-49 comes from Erin Buchanan at the Department of Transportation and Development:
“Another closure for I-49 in the same section as the previous closure is planned for this Saturday in order to move additional mining equipment across the interstate. This is in preparation for another dragline crossing to be scheduled at a later date.
Motorists are advised that on Saturday, May 27, 2017, the northbound and southbound lanes of I-49 between mile markers 161 and 163, just south of the US 371/LA 177 interchange, will be closed from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
This work is associated with the movement of AEP’s Dolet Hills Mining equipment.”

The first TD came on a 34-yard pass from Gakerreon McDonald to Chad Keith. McDonald then added a 63-yard bomb to Pat Perkins for the second score.
Bossier got a score on their next set of plays. But the Bulldogs came back strong with two more scores in their second set of plays. Demonte Calhoun made a dazzling run of 28 yards through the Bearkats defense. And Gakerreon McDonald finished out the scoring with a 3-yard run.
