With a primary election scheduled for November 3, the Red River Parish Clerk of Court’s Office is reminding residents of the upcoming election commissioner training and seeking individuals interested in serving.

A pre-election training class for Election Commissioners-in-Charge and Commissioners is scheduled for Thursday, October 22, at the Red River Parish Library, 410 E. Carroll St. in Coushatta. Two classes will be offered, at 10 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. Attendance at one of the two sessions is required.

The Clerk of Court’s Office is also encouraging residents to consider becoming election commissioners. Those interested in serving can complete an Election Commissioner Application to be considered for future elections.

Early voting for the November 3 election will take place October 20–27. On Election Day, polls will be open from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m.
