The TSA has launched Gateside by TSA PreCheck, a new program that allows eligible TSA PreCheck members to go through airport security without a plane ticket to meet or see off family and friends at the gate, visit someone during a layover, or access restaurants and shops beyond the security checkpoint. Participants must request a free Gateside pass in advance and still undergo security screening. Among airports within driving distance of Coushatta, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport in Little Rock are participating in the initial rollout. Shreveport Regional, Alexandria International and Monroe Regional are not currently included. TSA plans to expand Gateside to additional airports in the coming months, but no Louisiana airports have been announced for the program at this time.
