Dust off your cowboy hats and lace up your boots: Rodeo action is returning to the Natchitoches Parish Fairgrounds on Sept. 18-19.

Presented by corporate sponsor Hebert Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, the annual Natchitoches Parish Fair Rodeo begins at 7:30 p.m. each evening. Gate admission is $10, and children under age 5 are admitted free.

Young competitors will have their moment in the arena spotlight each night with the calf scramble and mutton bustin’ contests, open to children age 8 and younger. Registration begins at 6 p.m. Each night at the arena and costs $10 per participant. Space is limited to the first 20 children to sign up, with nightly winners receiving a commemorative belt buckle.

Spectators can expect top-tier rodeo stock, competitive arena events and an exciting evening of family entertainment. Gates open early, and community members are encouraged to arrive by 6 p.m. to secure seats and sign up young competitors.
