At the November board meeting, the Red River Parish School Board approved a revised 2025–2026 school calendar, giving students and staff an earlier end to the school year.

The most significant change comes at the end of the spring semester. Students will now finish the school year on June 10, instead of the previously scheduled June 16. Staff will wrap up on June 12, moving from the original June 18 date.

The board also approved new dates for seniors. The last day for graduating seniors is now May 28, with graduation set for Friday, June 5, 2026.

District officials say the changes were made to better align with regional scheduling, summer programs, and staffing logistics.

The revised calendar will be made available to families through the district’s website, social media and other online platforms.
