Saturday in Coushatta was a day of worry and mourning for the entire town.  A house fire on East Carroll St. took the life of a resident, and a car crash claimed the life of another resident and seriously injured a deputy en route to the fire.  Another deputy was overcome with smoke during an attempted rescue at the house fire.  

Many families were impacted throughout the day.
