The Red River Parish Sheriff’s Office shared on social media that LA Hwy 174 from Lake End to I-49 will remain closed to thru traffic. All other roads, including LA Hwy 1, have been reopened.
Expand Energy has not released any additional information at this time regarding the incident.

“Expand Energy has identified unexpected pressure on wells offsetting a company well site in Red River Parish, Louisiana. The company is working with local authorities, offset operators, and landowners to address the issue. As a precaution, the company is currently working with local officials to evacuate residents near the impacted wells and a portion of Highway 174 and Highway 1 have temporarily been closed. We will provide additional information as it becomes available.”
