Additional Students of the Month Recognized

The local VFW Post and Auxiliary 7287 recognized students of the month at Country Day Montessori school and Magnolia Bend Academy for September during the past week.  Each student was presented a certificate and gift card from a local restaurant.

The September Student of Month at Country Day Montessori is Colt Dulaney.  Colt is a conscientious worker in class. He comes to class ready to learn each day. When other classmates need help with their schoolwork he is always willing to be there for them.

Aside from the students in his class, Colt is caring towards children younger than him. He’s very compassionate towards others while respecting their boundaries.

Colt has made so many advances in his academics, such as reading fluency. One of his favorite subjects in class is math. He has become very interested in learning how to add, subtract, and multiply fractions. His kind and helpful nature is very admirable.

Magnolia Bend Academy Student of the Month for September is Jace Watkins.  He is a second grader at MBA.  He was nominated by his teacher, Mrs. Stephanie Parker and selected by our staff. Jace is the son of Jamie and Travis Watkins. When asked what made her decide to nominate Jace, this is what Mrs. Stephanie had to say:

“There are many things I could say about Jace, but the one word that comes to mind immediately is gentlemen. He is our classroom door holder; he will hold the door open for the whole school! He doesn’t have to be asked and he doesn’t even say anything, he just does it! If I need someone to read or we are answering questions in class or I need a little help tidying up at the end of the day, Jace is quick to say, “I will do it!” Jace is kind, helpful and considerate of others, character traits that I know will help Jace be successful in all that he does.”

Besides being on the A-B Honor Roll, Jace is also setting the example of kindness and compassion for others. Congratulations Jace and keep up the amazing example for all of our students to see.
