On June 27, 2022, deputies with the Red River Parish Sheriff’s Office (RRPSO) executed an outstanding warrant by taking Joseph Eugene Nealy, 53, into custody at his residence in the 1900 block of Jones Street in Coushatta, LA. Nealy was wanted on multiple counts of possessing pornography involving juveniles. 

The Red River Parish Sheriff’s Office takes all matters regarding child sexual abuse and exploitation seriously; therefore, RRPSO detectives are members of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force and work closely with other members of the ICAC Task Force and the Louisiana Department of Justice. ICAC is a network of law enforcement agencies joined together for the purpose of sharing information and leads on suspected criminal action within the United States.

The RRPSO Criminal Investigations Division received a case referral from the Louisiana Department of Justice Cyber Crime Unit alleging Nealy’s involvement in the possession of child pornography. After conducting a follow-up investigation into the allegations against Nealy, accumulated evidence determined Nealy was in violation of the law and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
