Friday Night the Red River Bulldogs took on Holy Savior Menard at Menard. It was the quickest game of the season finishing in under 2 hours. It was a low scoring game with the final being Red River 14 and Menard 7.
Both teams scored in the 1st quarter and went to halftime tied. A 24 yard run by QB Tre Smith gave the Bulldogs the first score. A 63 yard pass by Tre to D’Evin McDonald gave Red River its 2nd TD in the 4th quarter.
Senior kicker Ryder Hogan made both PATs. Red River had a total of 397 yards with 288 Passing and 109 Rushing. This was more than double Menard’s total yards (194).
With this district win the Bulldogs district record is 2-1 and the Bulldogs are 5-2 overall.
Friday night is Senior Night at RRHS. The Bulldogs take on Bunkie in another district game. According to Maxpreps.com rankings Red River is #10 and Bunkie is #17 in 2A. Come support the “Dawgs” and your favorite Senior.
