Red River Baseball concluded the regular season with a win this week. Then on Thursday afternoon they fell to Winnfield in the district tournament hosted by Winnfield High.
The “W” came against Lakeview Tuesday afternoon. Bulldog pitcher Pierce Kellogg had a no-hitter going into the top of the 5th. Lakeview hit a single to break it up. The game was a shutout with Kellogg getting the win.

The Bulldogs ended the season at 21-10 and 2-1 in District play.
Then on Thursday afternoon they lost in the semi-finals of the District Tournament. Winnfield defeated Red River 13-1.
Red River’s only run came in the bottom of the 5th following a wild pitch that went all the way back to the backstop. The Winnfield catcher was unable to retrieve the ball in time to get the runner out at the plate.
Keegan King pitched the first three innings. He recorded one strike out. Tyler Hughes came on in the 4th and recorded three strike outs.
Next up for the Bulldogs baseball team will be the playoffs. The brackets have not been issued by LHSAA.
