An all-day fast has been proclaimed by Mt Zion Baptist Church at East Point.  The Pastor, Tommy Eason said it will begin at 6:00 am and end at 6:00 pm Saturday, July 25^th.

Eason is inviting the community to participate.  “They can come by at any time.  We will have scripture readings, prayer and psalms of praise every half hour,” said Eason.

Eason said, “It is fasting to feasting.  We will fast from the things of this world and feast on the word of God.”  The church will fast for twelve hours, however individuals may stop in any time and pray for as long as they want.

“The fast will be broken at 6:00 pm with a meal,” said Eason.  He added, “We are inviting the community for a meal at the church.  We especially want the first responders, EMS, Fire and Law Enforcement to join us.  We will deliver plates of food to those who are on duty and cannot attend.”
