The economy of Coushatta and Red River Parish has been severely hampered by the COVID-19 outbreak. We have businesses that have been forced to close. Others have had to modify their operations or layoff workers. And the Governor’s Stay At Home order is keeping customers away.
There is still business to be done. Many businesses are still open, only under modified conditions.
Publisher John Brewer of the Red River Parish Journal said, “We have always depended upon advertisers, not subscribers, for our operations. We have always appreciated our sponsors who were there in good times. So now we want to support our local businesses.”
The Journal is offering advertising without cost to businesses that wish to let their potential customers know how they have modified their business practices. Brewer said, “This offer is extended to all businesses in the parish whether they were a past advertiser or not. If you are trying to stay in business and keep your employees working, we can help.”
“We have been blessed that the readers in the parish have made The Journal Red River Parish’s Prime Source for Local News,” said Brewer. “We can put business messages before a large readership and during the COVID-19 pandemic we will run those advertisements at no cost.”
