The new football stadium for Red River High School is under construction.  The Journal stopped by the site the other day and found workers preparing the site and beginning the structural work.

The new Pat Strother Memorial Stadium is scheduled to be completed by the first home football game next fall.  The old stadium, which was demolished a few months ago, had served fans since the 1950s.

Note the banner in the bottom photo.  All school facilities are closed to the public due to construction and due to the closure caused by the COVID-19 outbreak.
