It doesn’t seem like it is time for kids to be heading to the ball fields. But high school players are getting ready for the spring season.
At Red River High, they are bragging about the new baseball and softball facilities. More than just fields, there are dressing rooms, concession stands and lots of parking.
This week the high school said, “These facilities are some of the best in the state and they are almost complete with the season just around the corner. Come out this Friday, Feb. 7th and see for yourself in the 1st high school baseball scrimmage.”
Don’t leave the ladies out. The Lady Bulldog softball team is hard at work also, getting ready for their season. The school said, “We are ready to see these girls play. They too have 1st class facilities for a 1st class program.’
The new facilities are part of a major reworking of the high school sports complex. Still to go is the new stadium for football. It is scheduled to be ready to welcome fans next fall.
