The fifth winner of The Journal’s weekly cash giveaway was about to deliver when we called! Yes, Eureka Demery of Coushatta was in the hospital in Shreveport about to give birth to her new baby girl.
Demery signed up to receive text messages alerting her to broadcasts of Red River Bulldog sporting events this season. And this week she was announced as winner of the “Early Bird” sign up period.
Demery works for Assisted Family Services in Red River Parish. She said she was naming her new daughter Zora Elise. The Journal will present her $100 prize as a welcome gift for Zora.
