ETC… for Wednesday, June 5th

Red River 4-H posted, “We are still looking for a few more 4-H girls ages 13-18 to go with us to LSU June 17-21 for 4-H U. Call us at 932-4342 and see how you can participate in one of the best things 4-H has to offer!!!!”

There are more delays ahead this week for motorists traveling north to Shreveport on LA 1.  The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that on Monday, June 3rd through Friday June 7th, 2019, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., LA 1 from Robinson Road to Yearwood Road in south Caddo Parish will be reduced to one lane for Union Pacific Railroad crews to continue clean-up operations following a train derailment that occurred on Tuesday, May 7th.  Flagging operations will be in effect to allow traffic through the area.

If you are driving in downtown Coushatta about noon this week, note there is congestion on Front and Alonzo Streets for a brief period.  Police are directing parents into and out of First Baptist Church at the time their Vacation Bible School is letting out.

Red River High is spreading the word that it is time to register and get schedules for next year.  Call 932-4913 to set your appointment.  All 9th and 10th graders for the 2019-2020 school year may call 932-4913 and speak with Ms. Russell to make an appointment with Ms. Stafford. Students will be able to make appointments now through June 6th of this week and then scheduling will resume July 17 until July 31. All 11th and 12th graders for the 2019-2020 school year may call 932-4913 and speak with Ms. Hopper to schedule an appointment with Mr. Wren.

The youth group of Abundant Life Worship Center is holding a burger lunch fundraiser on Sunday June 9th.  Money raised will go toward the youth mission trip.
