The Red River Parish Fair and Rodeo is in full swing. There are livestock and other exhibits to view. And the Johnson Brothers Midway is in operation each day through Saturday.
Thursday afternoon is the fair parade. Line-up is at 3:00 and the parade pulls out at 5:00. The route takes the parade south on Highway 71. At the intersection by the old Chevy place, turn onto Ringgold Avenue and head downtown. The parade will cross the railroad and turn onto Front Street. From there the parade will wind up in the parking lot at First Methodist Church.
Friday night enjoy a great local musical group Thrown Together. They play Rock, Country and Southern Rock. Thrown Together plays from 5:00 until 8:00 Friday night.
The Rodeo takes place on Friday and Saturday nights. The Parade of Champion Livestock and Horse Show is Saturday night at 7:45. This year’s rodeo is produced by J2 Rodeo Company.
