The portion of the old Sunbeam plant, formerly occupied by Tango Truck Lines, may be getting a new tenant. Mayor Johnny Cox made that announcement during Tuesday evening’s meeting of the Coushatta Town Council.
The building has been vacant for some time. However that may soon end. The Mayor said, “We are now discussing leasing that portion of the building. I would like your permission to complete this lease of the building. If we have the opportunity I hope we can take it.”
So the Town Council approved the Mayor, consulting with the town’s attorney, lease the building to a new tenant. Cox said, “If during the negotiations there is any expense we would have in renting the building, I would come back to the council to get approval for that.
