Red River 4-H is making its annual appeal to send children from the parish to 4-H Camp. The Journal spoke with Terry L. Foster, Red River parish 4-H Agent this week. She told us there are children who need some financial help to enjoy the fun of a week at 4-H camp.
In Foster’s appeal letter, she said, “Camping is one of the most valuable experiences a child can have. It’s a learning experience that helps boys and girls appreciate the outdoors, live together as a group, gain independence, get along with others, and appreciate people with different interests and backgrounds.”
Foster added, “We will camp June 11-15, 2018. It will cost each participant $180, including t-Shirt and parish photo.” She told The Journal, “If you would like to support the youth representing Red River parish at Camp Grant Walker, any amount you can give will greatly be appreciated by each of these youth and their families. Donations are tax deductible.”
The sponsorship form is included with this article. Send donations to the Red River 4-H Office, P.O. Box 1364, Coushatta, LA 71019. Please fill out the sponsorship paper with your donation information and marking it if you are sponsoring a particular 4-H participant.
