January’s employees of the month have been selected. Principal Shenell Deville shared this information with The Journal:
Every month, our Staff Recognition Committee discusses possible employees and nominate them for their attendance, positive character, team effort, and their motivation to do above and beyond.
In January, our employees of the month were 2nd Grade Teacher, Kenyotta Williams and Paraprofessional, Florine Taylor.
Ms. Williams is commended for her drive to develop herself as a teacher and mentor. We tap into her knowledge of the reading curriculum, Project Read so that she can train and support other K-2 teachers. I feel very comfortable having her to share alongside with leadership during some of our school activities.
Mrs. Florine Taylor has worked in the district for 18 years. She is very flexible and remains very positive, regardless of the role she is handed on any given day. When it comes to showing up for work 30 minutes prior to clock in and making sure our early arriving students are supervised, Mrs. Taylor is our “sunrise”.
Our Staff Recognition Committee continues to increase a positive school culture and climate for staff by planning surprise activities to show appreciation for everyone.
