The audit of the books of the Red River Parish School System turned up no significant deficiencies or problems according to the firm conducting the audit. Tommy Naquin of the firm Postlethwaite & Netteville reported to the board at their meeting on Monday that their accounting records are in great shape.
Naquin says they audited the Title I account, the various funds, and procurement policies among other accounts. Naquin told the board, “There were a few things noted for improvement but the big thing to know is…there was nothing of significance that needed to be mentioned in the report.
Additionally Naquin said their audit did not turn up any adjustments that needed to be made. He said, “That means we believe that the board’s financial statements are materially correct.”
