On August 29, 2017 Victor L. Taylor Jr., B/M, age 18 of the 1800 block of Bonner Road in Coushatta was taken into custody without incident and transferred to the Red River Parish Jail (RRPJ) for booking. He was wanted on two outstanding Red River Parish warrants, one for 3 counts of Public Intimidation and the other for Aggravated Assault with a Firearm. At the time of his arrest, he was being housed in the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center on unrelated charges.
The pubic intimidation charges stemmed from an incident on February 17, 2017 on Bonner Road where Taylor threatened violence against multiple deputies prior to fleeing the area. Deputies had responded to a residence regarding a disturbance complaint. The aggravated assault charge resulted from a fight which occurred on May 20, 2017 on Woodlands Hill Drive in the Springville community and involved the discharge of a firearm.
While incarcerated at the RRPJ, on August 31, 2017 deputies secured an additional warrant for Taylor and charged him with Cruelty to Juveniles and Simple Battery. These charges stemmed from an August 25, 2017 incident which occurred at a school bus stop near the intersection of Springville Road and Woodlands Hill Drive. During this incident, Taylor was alleged to have been involved in a fight involving multiple juveniles. Several juveniles were also cited for Disturbing the Peace by Fighting for their role in the altercation.
On September 1, 2017 Taylor Jr. posted a $60,000 bond and was released pending a trial date.
