Around Red River Parish various groups are making plans for relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. People may now donate to national organizations such as the Red Cross or United Way.

Northwestern State University is joining sister schools in the University of Louisiana System by hosting fundraising drives during this week’s football matchups. The UL System Student Advisory Council is organizing the initiative. Funds raised will be placed in the UL System Foundation’s Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund and distributed to impacted students in the Houston area.
