Key Accomplice and Assault Victim Arrested

RRPJ-Arrest Report-Admire-17Jul12

On June 23, 2017 Jeremy D. Key was apprehended by the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force at a hotel in Laredo, Texas, which is located on the United States/Mexico border. He was wanted on an Attempted Second Degree Murder charge stemming from an incident in Red River Parish which occurred on June 1, 2017. When apprehended, Key was traveling with his girlfriend, Leah Admire, who was also the victim from his pending charge.

Prior to Key’s arrest, Admire was suspected of aiding him as he avoided apprehension in Red River and Natchitoches parishes. In addition, it was determined that she willfully assisted and accompanied Key as he fled the state en route to Mexico. The pair was traveling in a 2014 Dodge Charger reported stolen from the Martin community on June 4, 2017.

At the time of Key’s arrest, Admire had no active Red River Parish Sheriff’s Office (RRPSO) warrants and was only temporarily detained before being released by U.S. Marshals. On June 26, 2017 RRPSO investigators obtained arrest warrants for Admire for her role in assisting Key and a charge related to the stolen vehicle.

At approximately 9:00 p.m. on July 7, 2017 a RRPSO detective observed Admire exit a local business on Cutoff Road in Coushatta and enter the rear passenger seat of a parked vehicle. A responding deputy initiated a stop on the vehicle before it exited the parking lot and positively identified the passenger as Leah Admire. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Red River Parish Jail (RRPJ) for booking.

Leah N. Admire, W/F, age 29 of the 100 block of Dab Brown Rd., Goldonna, LA was booked into the RRPJ on the following charges: Accessory after the Fact (Aiding and Abetting a Fugitive), Accessory after the Fact (Theft of a Motor Vehicle), Probation Violation and Out of Parish (Natchitoches) Fugitive Warrant for Failure to Appear.

Bond has not been set at this time and she remains incarcerated in the RRPJ. Multiple holds have also been placed on her release.
