A 20-year-old Ringgold man was killed early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash in Bossier Parish.

Louisiana State Police Troop G responded shortly before 5 a.m. to the crash on Louisiana Highway 154 near Springhill Church Road in the Elm Grove area.

According to the preliminary investigation, a 2024 Toyota Sienna was traveling east on Highway 154 when, for reasons still under investigation, it left the roadway and struck a tree. The vehicle caught fire following the impact and became fully engulfed in flames.

The driver suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Due to the severity of the crash, investigators have not determined whether he was wearing a seat belt.

State Police said impairment is also unknown at this time. Standard toxicology samples were collected and submitted for analysis.

The crash remains under investigation.
