Louisiana consumers are being advised to check their pantries following an expanded recall involving more than 27,000 packages of Lundberg Family Farms White Jasmine Rice.
The recall involves Regenerative Organic Certified White Jasmine Rice sold in 2-pound bags due to the possible presence of foreign material.
Consumers should look for UPC 073416-040281 and the following lot information:
- Lot 260201MA — Best By Feb. 1, 2027
- Lot 260202MA — Best By Feb. 2, 2027
The affected rice was distributed in Louisiana and 12 other states, including California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.
The recall has been classified as Class II, which generally means use of or exposure to the product could cause temporary or medically reversible health effects, while the likelihood of serious health consequences is considered remote.
No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recalled rice.
Because rice is often stored for extended periods, consumers are encouraged to check packages they may already have at home. The recall applies only to the specified product and lot numbers and does not include all Lundberg Family Farms rice products.
