Parents and caregivers are being urged to check their children’s toys following recalls involving two types of popular squishy toys that contain water beads.

About 8,000 GIHNJSI Squeezy Dumplings have been recalled because the toys contain water beads that can pose ingestion, choking and intestinal blockage hazards. If swallowed, water beads can expand inside the body and potentially cause serious injury.

The recalled Squeezy Dumplings are translucent, round squishy toys decorated with cartoon faces. They contain glitter-like material and water beads and were sold online through Amazon from May through June 2026 for about $20.

A separate recall involves approximately 7,200 Rainbow Mystery Squishy Bun toys imported by OKK Trading. The pink, translucent squishy toys contain glitter and water beads and were packaged in tan plastic containers resembling bamboo steamers.

The water beads inside the toys can expand if swallowed, creating the potential for choking or intestinal blockage. Young children are at particular risk because the beads may be difficult to detect after they are swallowed.

The Rainbow Mystery Squishy Buns were sold at various stores nationwide from May through August 2026.

No injuries have been reported in connection with either recall.

Consumers who have either of the recalled toys should take them away from children immediately and stop using them. The toys should not be donated, given to another child or resold. Consumers can contact the respective seller or importer for information about receiving a refund.

Parents are also encouraged to pay close attention to other squishy toys containing water beads, particularly products purchased through online marketplaces, because similar products have been the subject of recent safety warnings.
