Two Red River Parish 4-H members have been selected to represent the parish at the state level as Louisiana 4-H Shooting Sports Ambassadors.

Morgan Moseley and Joseph Shaver were chosen for the leadership role, which recognizes 4-H members who demonstrate excellence in shooting sports as well as leadership, citizenship and service.

As state ambassadors, Moseley and Shaver will help promote Louisiana 4-H Shooting Sports and serve as role models for young people participating in the program across the state.

The two recently attended the Shooting Sports Ambassadors Summer Board Meeting at Tall Timbers Camp, joining other ambassadors from across Louisiana. During the meeting, members worked on plans for upcoming activities, developed leadership skills and continued preparing for their roles during the coming year.

Their selection gives Moseley and Shaver an opportunity to represent Red River Parish 4-H beyond the local level while encouraging other young people to become involved in 4-H and its shooting sports programs.
