The Southern Plainsmen Quartet will be in concert at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 5404 Hwy. 783, Oct 11, 2026 at 10:30am. A love offering will be taken.

LDWF will host its annual Mother-Child Families Understanding Nature (FUN) Camp Oct. 16-17 at Waddill Wildlife Refuge in Baton Rouge. The free camp is open to mothers and children ages 10-13 and offers families a chance to spend time outdoors together while learning outdoor skills. Meals, lodging and supplies, including tents, are provided, although participants should bring their own bed linens and sleeping bags. Pre-registration is required and space is limited.

Bonnie & Clyde Trade Days is building storage units on-site for vendors.

LSU recently announced that football tickets for the student section sold out in five hours. The 13,000-seat section has typically taken up to three weeks to completely sell out in the past.
