
Chief John Woodfin has reported that 517 total runs were completed by the Red River Parish Fire Protection District during the first half of the year.
283 call-outs were for assistance in an EMS event. More than 50% of all call from January to June were for medical emergencies. Woods/grassfires and fire alarm/smoke scares came in at a distant second.
7% of the call-outs in the timeframe were for motor vehicle crashes.
