As students prepare to head back to the classroom, First Baptist Church of Coushatta (FBCC) is inviting local children and families to celebrate the new school year during its Back to School Kickoff on Wednesday, July 29.

The event will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and is open to children in Pre-K through sixth grade. Organizers have planned an evening filled with activities designed to help children kick off the school year while spending time with friends and making new memories.

Children attending can look forward to packing Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes, enjoying build-your-own ice cream sundaes, and taking part in volleyball, basketball, and other fun activities throughout the evening.

The kickoff is designed to give students a positive start to the new school year while providing families an opportunity to connect with the church and the community. The event is free to attend, and all children in Pre-K through sixth grade are welcome.
