Leading the way was Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, which was ranked No. 1 in Louisiana for Best Colleges for Nursing and No. 1 for Best College Dorms. NSU also earned top-five rankings statewide for Best College Campuses, Best Student Life, and Best College Locations, reflecting strong student satisfaction both inside and outside the classroom.
In Ruston, Louisiana Tech University continued to receive high marks as one of Louisiana’s top public universities, earning strong rankings for academics, engineering, business, student life and overall value. Tech is consistently one of the state’s highest-rated public institutions in Niche’s annual rankings.
LSU Shreveport also ranked well, particularly for its affordability, online degree programs and value, while Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport received recognition for its liberal arts education, small class sizes and close faculty-student relationships.
For students considering a two-year degree, Bossier Parish Community College continues to be recognized as one of the region’s leading community colleges, offering affordable pathways to four-year universities and workforce training.
