According to a public records request, Curtis Streetman was initially stopped by a RRPSO deputy for a traffic infraction, Louisiana State Police arrived and continued the investigation. The subject was subsequently arrested by LSP for improper lane usage and operating a vehicle while intoxicated, 1st offense.

A Shreveport police officer has been placed on administrative leave after being arrested in Red River Parish on a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated (first offense).

Officer Curtis Streetman, who has been employed by the Shreveport Police Department since 2024, was arrested in Red River Parish. According to a statement released by SPD, following the arrest, Streetman was immediately placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the criminal case and the department’s internal review.

In the statement, SPD Chief Wayne Smith said, “This is disappointing; however, we will remain transparent and ensure this matter is handled appropriately.”
