(UPDATE 7/16/2026): DOTD announces that the LA 514 bridge over Bayou Chicot in Red River Parish is now OPEN to traffic following its full replacement.

Motorists are advised that final work items remain, such as the application of permanent roadway striping and erosion control, so please drive with caution through the construction zone.

DOTD would like to thank the community for their patience and understanding while this bridge was under construction.

The LA 507 bridge near Womack in Red River Parish remains closed for replacement, with an estimated completion of late August 2026, weather permitting.

These two briges are part of an ongoing $12 million project to replace six bridges in Red River and Bienville Parishes (three of which are now complete and open to traffic).
