Lane closures for routine bridge inspections, Northwest Region

SHREVEPORT, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that the following lane closures have been scheduled in the northwest region for the purpose of routine bridge inspections:

  • Monday, July 6, 2026: LA 3032 (Shreveport-Barksdale Bridge) eastbound outside lane closure, Caddo/Bossier Parishes
  • Tuesday, July 7, 2026: LA 3094 (Hearne Ave) bridge at Twelve Mile Bayou, Caddo Parish, southbound lane closure
  • Wednesday, July 8, 2026: US 84 bridge over Bayou Castor east of Logansport, DeSoto Parish, lane closure
  • Friday, July 10, 2026: US 84 bridge over the Red River in Coushatta, Red River Parish, lane closure
  • Saturday, July 11, 2026: I-20 over the RR crossing near Greenwood, Caddo Parish, eastbound outside lane closure
  • Sunday, July 12, 2026: I-49 northbound & southbound over RR crossing south of LA 511 (70th Street), outside lane closure

All of these lane closures will take place from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m each day.

Motorists should be on the lookout for bridge inspection crews and specialized equipment as they drive through the work zone. Please drive with extreme caution.

These routine inspections are conducted on regular cycles and help identify any necessary maintenance work, issues with the structures, and ensure the bridges remain in service to the community.

Alternate Route: No alternate route necessary for these operations.

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
