
Funeral services for Edward Louis Dubois, 84, of Coushatta, LA will be held at 10 A.M. Friday, March 6, 2026, at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Olan McLaren officiating. Masonic graveside rites will follow in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:30 until 8 P.M. on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home.
Mr. Dubois was born August 26, 1941, in Coushatta, LA and passed away March 3, 2026, after a valiant battle with cancer.
Edward served his country in the United States Army during his earlier years. He then for many years was a truck driver for Complete Auto Transit. He was a member of the Silent Brotherhood Lodge No. 146 F. & A.M. where he enjoyed fellowshipping with his brothers and was also a member of Harmony Chapter No. 6 Order of the Eastern Star. Edward loved his family and will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Minnie Bell Cox; stepfather, Golden Cox; father, Charles Dubois; sisters, Edwina Havis and Dorothy Upshaw; and his true love, Alma Johnson.
Mr. Dubois is survived by his daughter, Shelly Franks and husband, Josh; son, Sean Dubois; two sisters, Dena Lloyd and Joy Cannon; one brother, David Cox; special brother-in-law, Jerry Cannon; two grandsons, Gavin and Connor Franks; and granddaughter, Shyla Dubois.
Pallbearers will be Josh Franks, Max Pepper, Glenn Havis, Floyd Phillips, Frank Simms, and Kevin Berly.
