Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home announces current needs, invites community support

The Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home is asking for the community’s help as it works to meet the daily needs of the children and families it serves at its Monroe campus.

Located at 7200 DeSiard Street in Monroe, the ministry has released a list of items currently needed, encouraging residents, churches, and local organizations to consider donating. Needed supplies include Capri Sun and Kool-Aid pouches, grape juice, crackers such as Ritz, Saltines, and Club, pickles, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, window cleaner (spray or foam), and scented laundry detergent.

Officials say these everyday items help support daily operations and provide comfort to the children living on campus. Community donations play an important role in allowing the organization to continue offering care, stability, and resources to young people across the region.

Donations can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the Monroe location. Visitors are asked to bring items to the first building on the left upon entering the campus.

Leaders with the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home say the continued generosity of local residents makes a lasting difference. Those interested in helping are encouraged to review the current needs list and consider contributing in any way they can.
